Age-Wise Solutions Inc. has been providing part-time social work services to long-term care homes since 1997. A social worker started the business and pioneered social work in long term care in Ontario. We believe that everyone living in long-term care and retirement homes should have access to psychosocial support so they can have quality of life. We partner with many long-term care and retirement homes by providing consulting social work services to support them in making a difference in the lives of residents and families. We provide social work services across the province of Ontario and our network of professionals meet regularly to offer one another peer-to-peer support and participate in professional development opportunities. At Age-Wise our social workers get exposed to a diversified case load on a regular basis. They are working with the residents, families and caregivers related to loss & grief, mental health, addiction, disease progression, sexuality, family dynamics to name a few. The social worker gains lots of experience right away and and has an excellent opportunity to advocate for an individual and contribute to improved social conditions. Age-Wise maintains memberships with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and the Ontario Long Term Care Association. We believe in promoting the value of vulnerable elderly.
